When students are actively involved in clubs and extracurricular activities, they gain more than just fun memories—they build essential life skills that support long-term success. Participation fosters time management, leadership, collaboration, and a sense of belonging, all of which positively impact academic performance and emotional well-being. Students who are more engaged in school are more likely to stay motivated, develop strong relationships, and carry those strengths into college, careers, and beyond.

At Wawasee High School, we believe that involvement is a key part of creating a well-rounded educational experience. With 24 clubs and 23 sports teams—and a student body of around 800—there truly is something for everyone. And if a student doesn’t see a group that fits their passion, there's always a staff member ready to help start something new. Whether through athletics, the arts, academic teams, or student-led initiatives, we encourage every Warrior to get involved, grow their potential, and make the most of their time here.

Why Being Involved Matters

Builds Like Skills

Involvement in clubs, sports, and activities teaches time management, leadership, teamwork, and communication—skills that prepare students for success in college, careers, and life.

Creates Stronger Connections

Being part of a group helps students build friendships, connect with mentors, and feel a sense of belonging. These relationships boost confidence and emotional well-being.

Enhances Academic and Personal Growth

Students who are involved tend to stay more engaged in school, perform better academically, and develop a well-rounded identity that helps them discover their passions and purpose.
